Writing what I wish to read…

The Day we met

I was sitting in a sofa corner where a little welcoming chaos was happening around me. My eyes were searching for yours while hiding from getting noticed by all others in the room. I think it was only Max who understood my situation and started hitting and scratching the closed door behind me to help me out. I first thought you were in that room controlling Max and I was waiting for your entry from behind me.

Then the welcoming chaos slowly settled once your grand dad came and took his spot. The usual talks and sweets were exchanged and out of no where you came from the door in front of me. When the whole family was sitting casually, I couldn’t resist raising up to stand when I got to see you in your favourite crimson red attire. I lonely stood there for a minute and staged as a clown while my whole family was laughing at me. I never cared and never would in future. If that’s not the response of a boy seeing the girl he loves, then what’s the point of providing reflex for him by God. Even if I could go back in time, I would still stand up when I get to see you and enjoy the embarrassment as a token of love.

- And that’s how I promise to have no shame or ego in respecting and admiring you for just the way you are.

When you sat right in front of me, my ever-hunting eyes freezed looking slightly away from your face – not daring to see you, yet having a slight glace of you like an out of focus image. After few settling heart beats, I looked at your face. The barely visible wrinkles at the corners of your eyes reminded me to have a look at your smiling lips. If a picture was taken from a Flash camera, the momentary Xenon light flash would have jumped out of the lamp just to kiss you. I envy the light flash.

– I promise to have the spirit that the Xenon light have for you to run towards you whenever it gets a chance.

Then there were few blinking in your eyes. Little did your eyelids know – that they are the blessed ones protect you at nights when you’re asleep. During the days they lie too close to you but so gentle that even your cornea and iris would not notice. I envy those eyelids.

– I promise to protect you the same gentle way as your eyelids without hindering your the view to your world.

Your antique earrings tried contributing its portion to your subtle beauty. It can be Up or down – or – Yes or No – your earrings always danced in sync with your head nods. Though temporary, they were your chosen ones lying close to her cheeks touching you at times whenever you moved your head. I envy those earrings.

– I promise to walk by you in all paths of our life in same sync like your earrings except that unlike your earrings I’ll be there with you till eternal.

I would go on and on but I always keep up my word like I’ll do in future for whatever I have said above. So I’ll send this now and you could read it before 12 midnight today.

It’s May 4th 2026 23:55 when I finished writing this and it’s worth a while. …. …
